On its first release, La Trappe Blonde had only 4% alcohol. In 1980 the monks launched a revival in the range of their Trappist beers, and it was in 1999 that a new Trappe Blonde came out of the abbey with a new "more Trappist" style.
Trappe Puur beer is a blond beer. It is brewed by the Brasserie Notre Dame de Koningshoeven in Holland. This beer reveals balanced notes. La Trappe Puur is also an organic beer.
