The Brasserie Palm was created in 1747 under the name of the brewery De Hoorn, then in time the Brasserie Palm. The brewery clung to the making of high-fermented beers, while the fashion was to Pils beer. During the First World War, the Palm Brewery was completely destroyed. But Arthur Van Roy, the owner of the time, will rebuild and enlarge it immediately.
In 1929, the brewery renamed its beer from Steenhuffe to Speciale Palm.
