Since 1862, the Cistercian Trappist monks of Chimay have been producing Belgian beers and Trappist cheeses. Their character and their qualities have known and are still very successful. La Chimay is an authentic Trappist beer, that is to say, it is brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, under the control and responsibility of the monastic community, and the bulk of which is devoted to Social welfare. The Brasserie produces 4 kinds of beer, the Chimay Rouge, the blue, the triple and the golden. The Abbey also produces cheese.
The Chimay Triple is a fairly turbulent blond beer. It is a high fermentation beer and fermented in a bottle. It is a beer rich in flavor and aroma. Note the fruity / flowery touch of the Chimay brewery.
