At its first release, the Blonde Trappe had only 4% alcohol. In 1980 the monks launched a revival in their range of Trappist beers, and it was in 1999 that a new Blonde hatch out of the abbey with a new style "more Trappist".
La Trappe Blonde is a high fermentation beer grading 6.5 °. On the nose, the beer is sweet and fruity with a nice floral scent. The mouth is slightly bitter.
